Cookies Statement

  1. What is the purpose of this statement?

    This Cookie Statement («Statement») governs the use of cookies and similar technologies («Cookies») in connection with Customerr use of the software features and services accessible via this website («Doppio»). Doppio is provided and maintained by Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd, (registered domicile Alte Tiefenaustrasse 6, Worblaufen, Switzerland, company registration no. CHE-101.654.423 («Swisscom» or «we») for commercial, professional or non-private use by business customers headquartered in Switzerland. Swisscom may rely on Customer's representation that Customer will not use Doppio for any other purpose, without performing any independent checks.

    To the extent information collected through cookies constitute personal information, the provisions set out in the Privacy Policy apply in addition to this Statement.

  2. What are cookies?

    A cookie is a small computer file that servers sends to Customer's computer or mobile device and that Customer's computer or mobile device sends back to us each time Customer visits Doppio. Our server is able to retrieve or read the contents of the cookie, which will – among other things - allow remembering Customer's preferences. Cookies will usually contain the name of the originating website and some additional information, such as a unique identifier and some digits and numbers (IP address, browsing patterns and timings, etc.).

    Cookies are classified within the following categories:

    • First Party Cookies are set and managed directly by Doppio.
    • Third Party Cookie are set and managed by a third party website that installs such cookies through the website visited by the user.
    • Technical Cookies are those used exclusively to carry out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network, or, insofar as this is strictly necessary, to the provider of an information society service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide said service. There are three categories of technical cookies: session cookies, analytics cookies and functional cookies.
    • Session Cookies are temporarily stored and then deleted when the user closes the browser.
    • Analytics Cookies are used directly by the website manager to collect aggregate information on users' activities performed on the website and are collected anonymously and only for statistical purposes.
    • Functional Cookies allow users to navigate as a function of certain pre-determined criteria such as user's language or country of origin recognizing users at their access.
    • Profiling Cookies are aimed at creating user profiles. They are used to send ads messages in line with the preferences shown by the user during navigation.
    • Persistent Cookies are stored on users' devices and allow the website to remember users' choices.
  3. How does Swisscom use cookies?

    Cookies help us recognize Customer's preferences when Customer visits Doppio. We use cookies to personalize and improve Customer's individual viewing experiences as well as connectivity with other customers in Doppio. We may use cookies to:

    • Keep track of Customer's use of Doppio, such as preferred country and language settings;
    • Gather data to improve and expand the content of Doppio;
    • Provide information that may be of interest to Customer;
    • Improve the security of Customer's experience with Doppio.

    We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals in web browsers or similar technologies; we are trying to provide Customer with a customized experience.

  4. What kind of cookies can be stored on my computer or mobile device?

    We use permanent cookies. Permanent cookies will stay on Customer's computer or mobile device for a set period of time and will be activated each time Customer visit Doppio.

  5. How do we use Google Analytics?

    Doppio uses “Google Analytics”, a software program provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics is a web analytics tool that uses cookies and text files that are stored on Customer's computer or mobile device to track Customer's Doppio use and help us understand how Customer engage with Doppio. These cookies and text files are used to collect information such as the time Customer's current visit occurred, whether Customer have been to Doppio before and from what website Customer were referred to Doppio. In addition, Doppio will also use DoubleClick cookies. These cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to Doppio or other sites on the Internet.

    Doppio further uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors of Doppio. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed an activity on Doppio. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the site. Any data collected will be used in accordance with our own Policy and Google’s privacy policy.

    The information generated by the cookie or text file includes information about Customer's computer, IP address, operating system and browser type and is sent to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate Customer's use of Doppio, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other website activity and internet related services. In addition, Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate Customer's IP address with any other data held by Google. Customer may refuse the storage of cookies and text files by changing the settings on Customer's browser. However, in this case, Customer may not be able to use all features of Doppio. Furthermore, Customer can prevent the sending and use of the information collected by cookies (including Customer's IP address) to Google by downloading and installing the plugin available at the following address: Customer may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick Cookie and Adwords remarketing for interest-based advertising by visiting the Google Ads Preference page.

  6. How can I change my cookie settings?

    Customer can delete cookies from Customer's computer or mobile device by using the relevant functionality of Customer's browser. In addition, Customer can reject cookies at any time. Please follow the instructions via the links indicated in the list of cookies above.

    Customer can also prevent the use of certain cookies by changing Customer's browser settings (usually located under the "Help," "Tools" or "Edit" facility). If Customer wants to learn more on how to change Customer's cookie settings, Customer can visit for comprehensive information on the options provided by all major internet browsers.

    If Customer decide not to accept our cookies, Customer will not be able to view some information in Doppio or use some features designed to enhance Customer's experience. Not accepting cookies will limit the use of Doppio.
